FTA Names Three Recipients of 2023 Technical Innovation Award

BOHEMIA, NY—FTA has recognized three industry-advancing products and the companies behind them with the 2023 FTA Technical Innovation Award.

The announcement came on Sunday, April 16 during the Awards Banquet at FORUM & INFOFLEX 2023, FTA’s annual four-day technical conference and exhibition.

The trio of companies and their award-winning technologies are:

  • AV Flexologic, for its RoboCELL Sleeve and Mounting Workflow, which automates manual processes, eliminates operator dependency and reduces prepress-related downtime (Heavy Metal category)
  • MicroDynamics, for its 3DQC Veritas Anilox Inspection System, which can make measurements and provide characteristic parameter values for a picture of an anilox’s state (Prepress Pressroom category)
  • Miraclon, for its PureFlexo Printing Plate Surface Patterning, which reduces common issues like dirty print, dot bridging and color inconsistency (Prepress Graphics category)

“This year’s recipients of the Technical Innovation Award truly embody what the award has set out to recognize for more than 25 years,” said FTA Director of Education Joe Tuccitto. “Congratulations to AV Flexologic, MicroDynamics and Miraclon for continuing to push the envelope when it comes to flexography’s capabilities.”

In-depth articles covering each award winner will appear in the May issue of FLEXO Magazine.

In addition to the Technical Innovation Award, FTA also announced the recipients of its other honors and awards, including the 2023 Excellence in Flexography Awards, 2023 Sustainability Excellence Award, 2023 President’s Award honorees and 2023 Hall of Fame inductee.
