NEW ORLEANS, LA, May 5, 2019 – During FTA’s Awards Banquet, an event held in conjunction with Forum & INFOFLEX 2019, Dave Nieman was inducted as the 57th member of the prestigious Hall of Fame. The honor was presented to Dave in the Grand Ballroom of the Hilton New Orleans Riverside Hotel.

Both a business man and a family man, Dave is a genuine person with everyone he meets. Whether he was coaching his daughter’s soccer team back in the 1980s, or leading his work team as president/CEO today at All Printing Resources (APR), he understands and appreciates the strength that every player or employee brought to the field, or brings into the office.

“His viewpoint is, he becomes successful by having the people around him become successful,” shares close friend and fellow Hall of Famer, Paul Lancelle. “By his nature, he is never one to want to hog that spotlight. He realizes the more that other people receive recognition, the better it is for them, the better it is for him and the better it is for the team.”

That level of integrity spills into his involvement with FTA for the past 30 years, as well. Before internet and emails simplified communications, Dave was involved in setting up regional workshops across the US. As the workshops phased out, Dave took on more and more, serving on the FTA Board of Directors and FFTA Board of Trustees for two consecutive three-year terms from 2004-2010, as FTA Vice Chair, Suppliers and FTA Board Chair. He was a member of the TEST Oversight Committee, FTA Strategic Planning Initiative, and provided guidance in the formation of the Leadership Council, as well as an active part of the FFTA Scholarship Committee.

“The first thing that comes to my mind is what a generous person he is, always thinking about everyone else besides himself first,” shares Dave’s wife of 39 years, Eva. Still very much a family man, every year they rent a house with their three children, spouses and three grandchildren for a long weekend, managing to continue maintaining a balance of family and work after all these years and expansion of family members.

FTA is honored to add Dave Nieman to the roster of esteemed colleagues already inducted to the Hall of Fame, in eternal gratitude for what he has contributed to FTA and the package printing industry itself.
