MILAN, Italy—Grafikontrol, a leader in manufacturing press controls for the graphic industry, announced the appointment of two new area managers in its commercial organization. Zeno Zonato joined the company at the beginning of the year with the role of area manager North America, South Africa and part of Europe, and Federica Draghi, who joined the company last year, has become area manager for manufacturers since the beginning of May.
Zeno has gained a solid experience in the converting sector for his managerial activity at Laem System, and in Grafikontrol he is taking care of the graphic and converting market of all North America (U.S., Canada and Mexico), South Africa, Turkey as well as Benelux and western part of Italy. “The North American market is very important for us,” Zeno said. “The U.S. market is to be consolidated, we have many installations to follow and in many cases to be updated with retrofit solutions.”
With a solid knowledge of materials (in particular films, polypropylene and aluminum), cutters, rewinders and palletizing systems, Zeno now completes his knowledge of converting procedures with quality control. His challenge will be to combine the management of different geographic market areas with the responsibility to follow the quality control applications on extrusion and labels in all markets.
Federica Draghi is the new area manager for manufacturers, a new role, which involves the relationship with all the manufacturers of flexo and rotogravure machines and the management of all the issues related to the integration of Grafikontrol systems on the presses. She joined the company a year ago, fresh from graduation, as an assistant manager, has distinguished herself for her skills to the point of being promoted to area manager with this delicate role.
“The female figure in managerial roles is a novelty in the Grafikontrol house, just as it is in the general market,” Federica said. “I feel ready to take up the challenge of approaching a new sector, where it is important to consolidate the fiduciary relationship with the manufacturer and find the right balance in the link between the manufacturer and the final customer.”
