HIGHWORTH, Great BritainTroika Systems Ltd., a market leader in quality control analysis tools and management systems for the print packaging industry, has developed a new ink proofing anilox holder.

The company designs and develops a range of state-of-the-art quality control 2D and 3D microscopes and management systems for the print packaging industry to drive operational efficiency and continuous production improvements.

Ink and substrate testing is an important part of ensuring press setup time is minimized for professional printers. Consequently, it is important to know the proofer aniloxes used in ink testing equipment are clean and are within a practical tolerance of the desired volume if correct ink setup is to be achieved.

Troika has been asked to make holders to carry these small aniloxes so that the measurements can be made easily. Consequently, Troika has developed holders for a variety of proofer aniloxes including those supplied by IGT from the Netherlands, and RK PrintCoats, UK, and this will cover most markets globally. The holder comes in two parts: the main body supports the larger test aniloxes, and a separate holder supports the smaller aniloxes used in the hand-held test units.

Implementing Troika technology into the prepress and print environments has proven benefits through increased press productivity, reduced consumables waste and production consistency, giving customer satisfaction and increased converter competitiveness and profitability.

Recent winners of the EFIA innovation award, Troika will be on stand A12 in Hall 11 at LabelExpo 2017
