GIRONA, SpainPrima Jaya Eratama, one of Indonesia’s leading flexible packaging manufacturers, has acquired a new flexographic press, a Comexi F4, and the newly launched laminator, the Comexi ML1 MC, installed at its facilities in Tangerang. The relation between both companies dates back to April 2012 when the Indonesian converter purchased its first Comexi machine, a slitter.

Currently, the Indonesian company has two Comexi laminators, two Comexi flexo printing presses with the Laser Clean Roller (LCR), and two Comexi slitters, installed in its production plant. Due to the recent acquisition of the Comexi F4 printing press, Prima Jaya Eratama reports it has optimized the customers’ need to do short runs. Additionally, the purchase of the Comexi ML1 MC laminator allows for the structure realization of three layers, heat seal, coatings at register as matt or gloss varnishes, as well as the possibility of laminating without solvents.

The Comexi F4 incorporates the patented system of pipeless magnetic blades, a structurally compact and easily accessible printing unit, with a platform that allows for to perform minimum time performance of all maintenance tasks. Due to these features, the Comexi F4 can rapidly execute job changes, offering high versatility to those customers who need to make numerous changes to their daily production. Furthermore, this press can be equipped with an advanced control system, including the fully automatic pressure adjustment and PDF file based registration system, the machine color adjustment system, or accessibility of the Comexi Cloud digital services platform, all of which facilitate the work of the printer.

The new Comexi ML1 MC offers total versatility, covering a variety of applications in flexible packaging. Taking all of this into consideration, Comexi has developed five different kinds of trolleys that can work with this machine: open gravure and enclosed doctor blade chamber gravure, solvent less, flexo and semiflexo. Due to its semiautomatic clamping system, the trolley change over time is extremely fast. Moreover, due to the non-stop turret winders and the extremely efficient flat shell-type drying tunnel, the machine enables the most challenging jobs to be profitable. The new Comexi ML1 MC is capable of performing the most difficult jobs with averages that have a high efficiency production.
