LUDLOW, MA & HELSINKI, Finland—The Global Premedia Network (GPN) is pleased to announce its next expansion, which will double its combined service footprint in Europe and further extend it to Oceania and Asia. This rapidly growing alliance of independent packaging premedia companies is joined today by the German-based Carl Ostermann Erben GmbH (COE) and Brandpack Australasia.

“We welcome the opportunity to forge partnerships with new members as we have done already with exceptional partners from South America, Scandinavia and Africa,” said Laura Wright, the CEO of North American-based CSW Inc. “The GPN is well-positioned for explosive growth internationally, and we are excited to support this organization, which is unique in scale and scope.”

“It is a great pleasure to extend our global reach with Australian based Brandpack and to amplify our local premedia services in Germany with COE,” stated MARVACO‘s Chairman Kai Lankinen. “Our network is not only devoted to international brand stewardship and continuous development of our technical portfolios, but we also believe that our combined effort to promote expanded gamut printing and streamlined manufacturing workflow could lead to more sustainable package printing,” said Lankinen. “For years, we’ve been successfully coordinating this effort between CSW and MARVACO, and are now looking to join forces with new partners.”

With further expansion planned over the next few months in other geographical areas including Asia Pacific, Latin America and Adriatic Region, the GPN services will become an even more attractive option for international brand owners managing and/or procuring consistent packaging around the world. This globally coordinated, technically aligned and locally rooted network of dedicated premedia providers will extend the reach of international FMCGs well beyond currently offered premedia solutions.

“Our clients will have access to the most efficient, cost-effective and comprehensive premedia services, regardless of where in the world they are producing their packaging,“ explained Peter Allison, Brandpack marketing manager. “Speed to market and technology advancements continue to play an increasingly critical role in every aspect of our business, and we recognize the need to close the technical and geographical gaps our clients are facing today,“ he continued. “The GPN partnership brings together like-minded businesses from around the globe and, as industry leaders in the Oceania region, we are excited to join this progressive group of companies. We hope to expand our offering to customers on a truly global scale and to deliver outstanding solutions across strategy, technology development and deployment.”

“We are equally delighted to join the network of companies that share the same set of ideas, visions and values. Cooperating with partners from different parts of the world not only widens our geographic reach but also enriches our portfolio by sharing our experiences and achievements,” said Torben Segelken, COE’s board member. “I’m sure that our customers will greatly benefit from this collaboration. It enables us to act quickly and tackle challenges at a much faster pace because now different perspective and knowledge are now only a phone call away,” added Holger Ostermann, COE’s general manager.

The GPN is committed to maintaining a consistent level of high-quality products and services, for which all GPN’s members are already well known, and maintaining technically aligned and cross-calibrated prepress systems and procedures to ensure that their products are of the same high-quality standards. Regardless of the facility from which they were produced or distributed, the GPN’s products meet the same high-quality standards. Through its continuous expansion, the GPN is poised to provide a source of consistent premedia services and tooling with local technical representation.

“As individual companies, we’ve been providing outstanding premedia services to many international brands for decades. The GPN gave us all the opportunity to offer this solution with combined manufacturing capacity, much closer to wherever in the world they procure their packaging,” noted Marek Skrzynski, CSW’s technical director and GPN coordinator.
