Newark, DE—Lundberg Tech, a leading manufacturer of precision-engineered trim and matrix systems, has introduced the MatrixCompactor 400 to the North American market. This all-in-one unit is designed to handle matrix and edge trim waste for up to four label printing and converting machines—even with adhesives.
Matrix and edge trim is captured directly in the machine and cut into small pieces in an inline cutter. It is then conveyed through a piping system by vacuum created by a material handling fan. At the end of the process, it is compacted in the integrated WasteCompactor.
The Lundberg Tech MatrixCompactor 400 is meant to enable label converters to increase press speeds by eradicating waste limitations while reducing downtime and creating a dust-free environment. Lundberg Tech’s all-in-one waste management solutions run at the same time as the rest of the machines. Consequently, converters do not have to stop production while collecting and disposing of waste.
Lundberg Tech President Kevin McCloskey said, “We’re pleased to add the MatrixCompactor 400 to our family of waste management solutions. Since all companies have different needs, we now have a central system which can handle any number of presses, as well as all-in-one units that can handle matrix and edge trim waste starting at one and going up to four label and converting press systems.”
All Lundberg Tech machines are mean to be easy to operate and have long lifespans, which means that many of them are expected to run for more than 20 years with only minimal maintenance required.
