MIDDLEBORO, MA—AMETEK Brookfield announced the appointment Joseph Plante as division vice president/business unit manager. In his new role, Joe will have responsibility for managing the day-to-day operations while continuing to promote growth, customer satisfaction and innovation at AMETEK Brookfield.
Joe began his career 27 years ago in engineering and program management. Over the years, he advanced to positions of management and leadership within the companies he served. Most recently, Joe was president of Diba Industries, a subsidiary of Halma, plc, in Danbury, CT. Prior to that, he was president of Needletech Products and Galt Medical, divisions of Theragenics Corporation, a global medical device manufacturer.
Joe holds a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from UMass Amherst, a Master of Science in biomedical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and a Master of Business Administration from Babson College.
Now in their 84th year, AMETEK Brookfield continues as a world leader in viscosity measurement/control of liquids and soft-solid fluids. AMETEK Brookfield also manufactures instrumentation for texture analysis (compression/tension testing of materials) and powder flow analysis.
