MONTREAL, Canada—Leading quality control solutions provider GlobalVision has launched GlobalVision Web, a completely redesigned update to its web-based Proofware inspection platform. A cloud-based solution, GlobalVision Web provides a variety of new functionalities, most notably HTML5 support.
“We cater to companies spanning different sectors seeking a leg up when inspecting packaging before going to market, and are excited to deliver what consistently ranks at the top of our customers’ wish lists by adding HTML5 support,” said Reuben Malz, founder and CEO of GlobalVision. “HTML5 has established itself as the industry standard. Our new release strives for the same quality control our customers depend on with Proofware left in a cloud-based solution that includes HTML5 support and many other enhanced features.”
GlobalVision inspection solutions verify the accuracy of text, graphics, barcodes, Braille, spelling and print. They are used to compare proofs and final printed products at the pixel level against originally supplied content to identify areas that are changed with an easy-to-use interface that allows operators to rapidly spot any defects or errors. They employ spelling dictionaries and barcode and Braille validation techniques to ensure there is no inadvertently dropped or changed content or spelling errors, that barcodes are functional, Braille dots are accurate and that the final product is 100 percent verified. This is especially critical in the packaging industry, where regulatory compliance and shelf appeal are critical to a product’s success and to minimize brand owner and converter risk.
Designed from the ground up with HTML5, GlobalVision Web does not require Java or any other additional plug-ins. As a result, larger master and sample files load more easily and quickly. Inspections to locate errors on packaging also run at industry-leading speeds. The new user interface contributes to a workflow that’s more efficient and mimics that of the streamlined, all-in-one GlobalVision platform recently released for desktops.
“Users can choose between different deployments and expect a smooth transition from a functionality standpoint as they move from one option to the next if and when they choose to make a switch,” added Malz. “The goal, regardless of whether you are inspecting via the cloud or directly from your desktop, you can expect not only consistency, but the industry’s best and most reliable high-performance quality control platform.”
GlobalVision Web is available immediately and can be seen live at Labelexpo Europe, scheduled for Sept. 25-28 in Brussels. GlobalVision is located in Stand 3D65 at the show. To request a demo, visit GlobalVision’s website.
