Here & Now!

“The first session alone made the entire trip worth it,” declared Laura Wright, president CSW Inc. Her assessment was echoed by Berry Global’s Scott. “Fantastic. Loved every minute of it. There is nothing like hearing directly from the customers. You can’t find that everywhere. Best program in years.” Coincidentally at FORUM & INFOFLEX 2024, each served respectively as chairman of the Foundation of FTA’s Board of Trustees and FTA’s Board of Directors.

“Voice of the customer really hit its mark!” Sealed Air’s Turner decreed. “When customers say they want something, like a print quality management program, it makes it easier to get everybody on board with the idea.”

“‘Redefining the Limits of Flexo,’ had a little bit of everything—from corrugated to narrow web to sustainability. It was by far my favorite session so far,” explained Paul Teachout, Harper Corporation of America, the incoming FTA Board Chair.

Brad Ehlers, C-P Flexible Packaging, stated, “INFOFLEX provides me with a direct line to suppliers in case something ever goes wrong. It gives me the ability to grab information on things like film washers and blade assemblies. I’ve been coming since 2011 and appreciate the interaction year-in and year-out.”

“Love the sessions!” Sean Mackesy, Proampac, declared. “They really drive home what we are looking for. CPC interaction is great. Our customers are here. At least four of us come every year. Continuous improvement opportunities available at INFOFLEX are enormous. The show helps us grow our relationships with our vendors and explore how each relationship fits with our business model.”

Richard Voisinet, Interflex Group, told FLEXO, “I am here at INFOFLEX 2024 because of purchases already made. Typically I come every year. INFOFLEX is a great communications tool. It’s a great networking event.”

Expressing similar thoughts, Brad Vette, Castle-Pierce, said, “Things change very rapidly. INFOFLEX is the best networking opportunity out there. While I’ve been attending for 25 years, this is my first time exploring the trade floor as a buyer and looking at things from a printer’s perspective. I’m looking at UV curing, plate cleaning, plate making—everything entailed in the package printing and converting process—and hoping to identify solutions to make our process more efficient and more responsive to our customers.”

Bradley Beskau, Priority Envelope, reported, “At INFOFLEX 2024, my interests turned to sustainability. I am looking at what is out there and what is coming—seeing the here and now and staying ahead of the market. Walking the floor has been great. I learned as much as possible.”

Multiple perspectives were shared by TC Transcontinental’s Patterson. “I came to INFOFLEX to network, as I always do—to see new innovations, to look for ways to save money and align with sustainability. At FORUM, CPC interaction was terrific. Gaining direct feedback in such a collaborative environment is a huge asset.”

Patterson also offered, “Speaking at FORUM myself—playing the role of a printer and coordinating a conversation aimed at finding new understanding and highlighting the importance of optimization, proved to be a great experience. My goal was to assist printers in identifying how to do the very best they can with what they have.”

“McCourt Label gets a lot of value out of seeing new technologies, networking on the INFOFLEX floor and meeting people,” according to Brandon Means. “Functions like the awards banquet, are a true highlight of FORUM. The announcements, coupled with the Awards Gallery at INFOFLEX afford us a true opportunity to see what people are doing in pushing the envelope in flexography.”
