MANCHESTER, UK—JM Heaford, an industry-leading supplier of mounting and proofing solutions for the tag and label, flexible packaging, corrugated and gravure markets, has announced organizational changes to ensure consistency and ongoing progress as the company builds on strategic success. As part of the plan, David Muncaster adds sales in North America to his responsibilities.
David Muncaster joined JM Heaford as director of operations and business development in 2016, with a broad remit to deliver continuous capability and productivity improvements for customers. Since then, he has implemented initiatives to improve efficiencies both internally and externally, with an emphasis on creating opportunities for customers of any size, from start-ups to multinationals.
“As we continue to make great progress there is an obvious synergy between my role in operations/product development and the diverse US market,” explained Muncaster. “North America is our single biggest market overall and has our largest installed base. At the same time, it also encompasses the widest range of production setups, going from vast and very complex operations right down to ‘mom and pop’ outfits. In getting to know those customers more closely, I am gathering insights that feed directly into new product development.”
Muncaster takes over his new role from Sally-Anne Heaford, allowing her to focus on the business as a whole and its global positioning. For most customers, these changes will have no effect on their day-to-day sales contact. US Flexo Solutions and Canflexographics continue to represent Heaford in the US and Canada respectively.
JM Heaford maintains a commitment to developing technologies to benefit customers worldwide and across the board. As well as fully automated options for maximum productivity, the company applies equal attention to improving ease-of-use, accuracy and repeatability at any level. According to JM Heaford Managing Director, Sally-Anne Heaford, this continues to be the driving principle behind the Heaford brand.
“David’s contribution to the company has already been significant. Since joining the team, he has helped bring about major efficiency and developmental improvements while putting systems in place to ensure they maintain momentum,” she comments. “In recognition of this, it’s logical for him to work with existing and new potential customers in this large segment of our business. Our North American customers can rest assured he will be driven by their best interests, and I know that the benefits will be felt by the entire Heaford user community worldwide.”
