MEMPHIS, TN—State and local officials joined Bryce Corp for a groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the start of construction on the company’s new manufacturing facility in Searcy, AR. The new facility will house state-of-the-art process equipment and will generate 142 new jobs.
In April, Bryce Corp announced a five-year strategic growth plan that includes an $80 million investment in the Searcy facility, which will expand the company’s physical footprint, house state-of-the-art process equipment, and grow the company’s asset base.
Bryce Corp has demonstrated a generational commitment to family and community throughout its history. Tom Bryce, chairman and CEO of Bryce Corp, and Sean Bowie, Bryce Corp president, provided remarks during the groundbreaking ceremony.
“Our family is celebrating 100 years in packaging,” said Tom Bryce, a third-generation Bryce family member. “We are grateful for the role Searcy has played in our history and the role it will play in our future. Our five-year strategic growth plan is a commitment to this generation and the next.”
Sean Bowie, who is a fourth-generation Bryce family member, concurred. “Today marks the beginning of a new chapter in the history of Bryce with the construction of a new manufacturing facility,” Bowie said. “We are grateful for the team members, local and state officials, and business leaders who are investing in the future of Bryce Corporation and Searcy.”
Congressman French Hill, Lieutenant Governor Tim Griffin, Secretary of Commerce Mike Preston, Searcy Mayor Kyle Osborne, and other company executives, public officials, and community leaders attended the event.
“This groundbreaking is the result of decades of hard work spanning over generations,” Secretary Preston said. “Bryce Corp manufactures packaging for thousands of the products that we use each day, and I look forward to seeing what new opportunities Bryce Corp—and the Searcy community—will encounter as a result of this expansion.”
“We are extremely excited that Bryce has chosen Searcy for their expansion. We look forward to a long and prosperous future together,” Searcy Mayor Kyle Osborne said.
Buck Layne, president and CEO of the Searcy Regional Chamber, said, “This is a great day for the Bryce Corporation and for Searcy, Arkansas. We want to thank Bryce for their commitment to Searcy as a location for future growth and expansion.”
