GLENDALE HEIGHTS, IL—All Printing Resources (APR), in conjunction with SpotOn! Press, announced the release of a new upgrade for the widely used flexo pressroom SpotOn! Software. The new SpotOn! Flexo upgrade is free to all current software users with a Software Support & Maintenance Agreement (SSMA) in place.
A central feature of the new SpotOn! software, which earned a Technical Innovation Award in 2014, is the ability to add spot color tone values (SCTV, a new ISO standard released in 2017). SCTV is a sought-after standard among flexo and printed packaging converters as it ultimately provides a better method for managing tint values for non-CMYK colors. With the addition of SCTV, converters have access to valuable data for assessing and setting print impression across their full range of pantone, spot and brand-color requirements

Another key feature of this new version is the new Measurement Report. This new report incorporates a clear Pass/Fail indication with a visual LCH gamut map. Combined with the native Job Report, converters have multiple solutions for communicating and recording color and job information to assist with process control and production consistency.”
