CHESHIRE, UK—DataLase, a SATO company, has further strengthened its executive management team with the appointments of Clare Wagstaff and Richard Blackburn.
Clare has been appointed as chief operating officer with Richard joining DataLase as vice president of engineering.

Clare and Richard will play leading roles at DataLase as the company accelerates the development of its cutting-edge photonic printing solution based on its award-winning laser-reactive color-change pigment technology.
With responsibility for developing and executing engagement strategies with key partners, Clare will coordinate with the sales, marketing and R&D teams to maximize the value of the company’s strategic partnerships.
Clare, who has extensive experience working for a global designer and manufacturer of photonic products and solutions, will lead key DataLase projects to ensure optimal performance and bring game-changing technologies to market.
In addition, Richard, as VP of engineering, will manage and coordinate projects in America. Richard’s remit is to support the U.S. team to progress the hardware, software and product integration of the company’s unique print solutions with partners.
Richard joins DataLase with more than 20 years’ experience leading the design and manufacture of laser based solutions. As a recognized expert in laser technology, Richard will accelerate the company’s technology roadmap.
