MALMO, Sweden—StrongPoint Labels of Malmö, Sweden, a short 90-minute drive from Nilpeter headquarters in Denmark, has invested in a new Nilpeter FA-17, the company’s first from the Danish printing press manufacturer.
An 8-color flexographic press with screen, cold foil and multi-layer label capabilities, the new Nilpeter FA-17 will add capacity and labeling options to StrongPoint’s portfolio. The investment follows StrongPoint Labels’ long-term growth plans. Installation is expected to take place in the spring of 2021.
StrongPoint Labels produces a wide range of labels for various industries and applications, such as food and beverage, health and beauty, chemical products and manufacturing. With vast experience in label production, StrongPoint knows what is required when choosing materials and adhesives in order to ensure high-speed delivery to customers.
”This is our first Nilpeter press—we’ve obviously known them for many years, but started discussing this project in the summer of 2020,” said Leif Persson, senior vice president and managing director, StrongPoint Labels. ”Once installed, we’ll be focusing on pressure-sensitive labels, and we have great confidence that the press will perform as promised.”
“We are very happy to work with Nilpeter. Their experience and knowledge will help us improve, and the short 90-minute drive to Slagelse is a great, added bonus,” Persson said. “COVID-19 obviously changed and slowed down the process, but we have still been able to meet under current restrictions, and we feel very safe,” Persson continued when asked how the global pandemic has affected current activities. “Hopefully, this investment will lift our business so we will have demand for new equipment in the near future.”
“We are very proud to partner with StrongPoint Labels, a highly significant company in the graphic industry, and in security printing in Scandinavia. We look forward to a long and constructive partnership,” said Jesper Jørgensen, global sales manager, Nilpeter A/S.
