BRUSSELS, Belgium—American premedia provider CSW Inc and North European premedia provider Marvaco Ltd announced the launch of the Global Premedia Alliance (GPA) that will offer brand owners a new option for managing and procuring high-quality and consistent packaging premedia services and tooling for multiple print categories around the world. The Alliance will initially roll out with strategically located manufacturing and field service sites on every continent except Antarctica.
“This is a network unique in scale and capacity, comprised of fully independent but technologically connected service providers,” commented Scott Ellison, CSW’s president. “The technological synergy between our partners, their manufacturing locations and in-depth knowledge of the local converters will help brand owners to maximize shelf impact, improve visual consistency and dramatically shorten their time to market across international boundaries.”
CSW’s CEO, Laura Wright—also an FTA/FFTA board member—observed, “This is an exciting opportunity for CSW, Marvaco, and our customers and partners to expand operations to a truly global level while using complementary knowledge to advance capabilities. The members of our alliance were invited based on being privately owned, maintaining the highest level of operational, quality, business ethics and ecological practices. Together we are fully committed to our customers’ success and the advancement of our industry”.
Kai Lankinen, chairman of Marvaco, continues, “Like so many other industries have discovered, leveraging the synergies of well-aligned international partners is a key to successful participation in the global market and continued transformation of the industry. The Alliance is a natural step forward after our long-term strategic partnership with CSW. This allows us to give brand owners a geographically more comprehensive offering and supply chain. Based on combined experiences and expertise, this offers globally consistent brand unity on a high-quality level.”
Marek Skrzynski, CSW’s technical director, noted, “Individually, our members represent the best-in-class and most technically advanced premedia providers in their geographical areas. As an alliance, we share mutual respect and a great degree of connectedness in our methodologies, talent base and technical portfolios. The Alliance fosters the development of technical breakthroughs by blending our partners’ R&D efforts.”
