CHARLOTTE, NC—For more than 20 years, the Phoenix Challenge Foundation (PCF) has been the premier organization who solely focuses on building tomorrow’s workforce. Its annual fundraiser to support growing flexo in education is the annual Phoenix Challenge Foundation Golf Tournament. This year’s event will be held Wednesday, Sept. 18, at the beautiful Stonebridge Golf Club in Monroe, NC (just outside Charlotte).

This golf outing is key to funding the PCF’s mission, which is the only organization specifically structured to support graphic arts and flexography students as they pursue higher education. The organization has guided more than 4,500 students through programs, competitions and scholarships, and many of those same students have found employment and solid career paths in packaging and label printing.

With the growing gap in our workforce, support of the Phoenix Challenge Foundation is now more important than ever.

Sponsorships and foursome teams are available: Platinum, Gold and Silver levels, single hole sponsorships and several other categories are available.

100 percent of all proceeds go directly to supporting flexography throughout college, vocational and high school scholarship competitions and programs.

Students involved in the Phoenix Challenge competitions have gone on to very successful careers as companies like JR Cole Industries, Anderson & Vreeland, MacDermid Graphics Solutions, Sun Chemical, Esko, Mark Andy Inc and more.

“With more than 4,500 students to flexo printing and production over the past 20 years, no other organization has exposed more students to flexo than the Phoenix Challenge Foundation,” said Bettylyn Krafft, chairman of the organization. “I am deeply rewarded to see so many of these students find rewarding career across our industry. A true testament to the program!”

More than 80 golfers are expected, making it a relaxed and fun-filled, industry-wide networking event.
