NEW ORLEANS, LA—At this year’s INFOFLEX in New Orleans, LA on May 6-7, Flint Group’s Flexographic, Packaging Inks, Narrow Web and Digital Solutions divisions will team up to provide a one-stop shop offering a broad range of products for the printing industry at booth 319. With everything from printing plates, image setters, sleeves and inks to digital presses, Flint Group experts will be on hand to discuss the latest developments in prepress to press-side technology.
Flexographic Division
The Flexographic Division will feature the first public appearance of the brand new nyloflexXpress FV Thermal Processor 5080, a system for flexo printing plates designed of several components to work synergistically with each other to deliver fast, high-end flexo printing, with uptime of 99.7 percent, and up to 88 percent less electrical consumption. See also the new thermal plate, nyloflex XFH Digital, a texturized flat top plate for wide web flexible packaging printing.
Explore the most recent additions to the lightweight family of rotec sleeves and adapters—the rotec High Performance Sleeve with bounce reduction and up to a 30 percent decrease in weight and the rotec Atlas CFX Bridge with press vibration dampening at higher press speeds. View live demonstrations of the rotec Eco Bridge—an adapter for use on flexographic printing presses and plate mounting equipment that uses 90 percent less volume of compressed air.
Wide Web Flexible Packaging
Wide Web Flexible Packaging will present Flint Group’s ink range for wide web Flexible Packaging, which covers a variety of applications from general flexible packaging, to snack foods, pet foods, twist and shrink wraps, PE shopping bags and outdoor industrial bags and wraps.
Paper & Board
Flint Group Paper & Board is an industry leading supplier providing inks and coatings for any water-based application, with inks for post- and pre-print corrugated, paper food wraps and cartons, gift wraps, paper shopping and industrial bags. In addition, Flint Group offers a range of inks for aseptic food packaging.
Narrow Web Division
Flint Group Narrow Web will showcase the benefits of LED curing low migration EkoCure ANCORA ink, which won a Technical Innovation Award in 2017.
EkoCure XS ink is an LED technology developed by Flint Group Narrow Web, addressing key needs determined by many converters specializing in the shrink sleeve market. EkoCure XS ink combines the latest ink chemistry that is meant to provide perfect cure and sufficient flexibility allowing better adhesion—especially after post shrink processing is completed.
Flint Group Narrow Web will also be promoting Hydrokett ZEN ink, which promises to improve profitability of any converter due to low maintenance and outstanding color strength for label and packaging applications.
UER EkoCure F ink is the latest LED curing technology developed by Flint Group Narrow Web for label and tag applications, which promises to enable all the LED lamp benefits and improve rheology to match flexo inks’ on-press performance.
Digital Solutions Division
The Digital Solutions Division will exhibit ThermoFlexX digital imagers—CTP systems available with 20-, 30-, 48-, 60- and 80-in. models to serve every sector of the flexo market. ThermoFlexX 48, 60 and 80 models now feature fully automatic plate loading and unloading for efficiency, ease of use and minimal operator intervention, reducing the risk of plate damage.
ThermoFlexX systems provide a high-resolution, turn-key solution alongside Flint Group nyloflex or nyloprint plates and equipment.
Xeikon, an innovator in digital printing technology, designs, develops and delivers web-fed digital color presses for labels and packaging applications, document printing, as well as commercial printing. These presses utilize LED-array-based dry toner electrophotography, open workflow software and application-specific toners.
