Emerging Leaders

Young flexographers who seek to participate in problem-solving work groups, tackle unique projects, network with peers, gain an inside look into FTA structure and have an opportunity to serve the profession in a growing capacity in the near future.

Excellence in Flexography Awards

Industry members who oversee the annual competition. Each member is tasked with overseeing one of the five teams of judges and guides them through the process of evaluating entries, settle scoring disputes and guide the competition’s policies.

FIRST

Industry members who are responsible for providing updates to future versions of Flexographic Image Reproduction Specifications & Tolerances (FIRST) gathered from FQC projects, newly adopted standards and suggestions submitted by members of the industry.

Flexo Quality Consortium (FQC)

FQC aims to help flexographers better understand factors affecting flexographic image quality. Members achieve this by setting goals, planning projects, supplying consumables, running trials, evaluating results, drafting reports, and presenting findings.

FLEXO Magazine Editorial Advisory Board

Comprised of industry members who oversee many of the goings-on of FLEXO Magazine, including evaluating the magazine’s editorial calendar developed by its staff for well-rounded content and appropriate industry coverage, assisting in reviewing articles for technical accuracy, and offering guidance and suggestions.

FORUM

Comprised of industry members who orchestrate the technical sessions at each year’s FORUM & INFOFLEX. Each member serves as the chair or co-chair of a session, selecting speakers, designing the session’s setup and use of time, and determining how to cover the topic around which their session is to be designed.

FTA Board of Directors/FFTA Board of Trustees

Comprised of industry members seeking to put leadership experience to use by overseeing and guiding FTA and its Foundation. Members meet to review financials, examine the progress of organizational goals, evaluate proposals, offer external input and act as ambassadors of the organization.

Hall of Fame

Comprised of individuals who represent the full membership of the FTA Hall of Fame and work with the FTA president to execute and oversee the annual voting process. The Committee also works to achieve consensus among all members in representing the body’s purpose among all members of the FTA.

Membership

Comprised of industry members tasked with promoting FTA membership to non-members and demonstrating value to retain existing members. Members accomplish this through consistent reviewing of membership programs and promotions, along with advising, evaluating and implementing new campaigns.

Project Evaluation

Comprised of industry members who are interested in expanding the capabilities of educational institutions by providing grants to fund various initiatives. Members examine proposals from schools and universities with flexography or package printing curriculums, and award grants.

Scholarship

Comprised of industry members who oversee all aspects of FFTA’s scholarships. Members review applications for the FFTA Flexography Scholarships, Gary Hilliard FQC Scholarship and FFTA Rossini North America Flexographic Research Scholarship, evaluating students’ research and project proposals, academic standing, financial need and extracurricular activities.

Supplier Leadership Council

Comprised of industry members interested in advancing FTA’s position in the industry and bringing together its members to network and expand their knowledge bases. Each month, members brainstorm initiatives and programs that will better serve the industry, and the means to deliver that information.

Sustainability

Comprised of industry members looking to encourage and promote participation in the worldwide movement to achieve the economic, social and environmental success of the graphic communications industry through sustainable printing practices. Members provide input into sustainability products and events, regulatory issues and awards programs.

Technical Innovation Award

Comprised of industry members tasked with judging entries in the annual FTA Technical Innovation Award Competition. Members are responsible for developing and maintaining rules, regulations and the process for judging the significant technical achievements in the flexographic industry recognized in the Competition.

Women of Flexo

Comprised of industry members who work to support and promote women in the flexographic industry through a variety of opportunities. Members are organized into four subcommittees, encompassing marketing/strategy, recruitment, mentorship and leadership diversity.
