MONTENEGRO, BrazilComexi, a provider of flexible packaging solutions, and Totalflex, a leading convertor in Brazil, recently extended their partnership, with Totalflex purchasing four more pieces of equipment from Comexi. The relationship between the companies dates back to 2002.

“Our long business relationship has been a success. Totalflex was our first client that bought the first flexographic press totally developed and built in Brazil,” says André Perez, Comexi’s sales manager in Brazil.

Currently, this Brazilian company has five Comexi flexo presses installed in its production plant as well other Comexi technologies such as laminators, slitters and logistic peripherals. In addition, Totalflex has just acquired from Comexi: an 8-color Comexi F2 MC flexo press, a Comexi DUAL laminator, a Comexi EVO laminator and a Comexi LCR clean roller system.

“We focus on converters’ satisfaction and we appreciate our long-term partnership. Totalflex has become a reference converter in Brazil, achieving outstanding growth and representation in the Brazilian market, and we are glad to contribute to its great evolution,” says Perez.

The Comexi F2 MC shares ergonomic and accessibility advances developed in F4 and F2 presses, as well as performance and robustness of the rest of F2 range, according to Comexi. It allows a print width from 34.2-in to 50-in, in 8 and 10 colors and maximum repeats of 31.5-in. According to Comexi, it includes advanced electronic systems to get the best quality print, even at high speeds and printing on different substrates, from plastic film to paper or laminated films.

The Comexi DUAL laminator is a hybrid machine that covers all kind of applications in the flexible packaging. It enables converters to use different technologies: solvent and water-based adhesives and lacquers, solventless adhesives, cold seals and one color printing jobs, according to Comexi. Moreover, this laminator in combination with Comexi laser technology was recognized with a WorldStar Award in 2017.

Totalflex has also acquired a Comexi EVO laminator, which is meant to be an ideal solution for short and long runs, and allows configurations with simple shaftless or “turret” type unwinders and rewinders to suit different production needs. Finally, the company is using a Comexi LCR, an anilox and cylinder-cleaning system, which uses laser technology to provide in-depth and fast cleaning.
