BIELEFELD, Germany—Bobst has organized a networking open house event that will take place Feb. 27 and 28 in the Competence Center of the Bobst Bielefeld production facility in Germany, the Bobst Center of Excellence for web-fed CI flexo technology. The event will be focusing on the 7-color extended color gamut (ECG) process, and will showcase Bobst’s new 20SEVEN CI flexo press.
The printing demonstrations will highlight the 20SEVEN’s performance in handling 7-c ECG jobs, while the manifold aspects of the extended color gamut process will be examined from different perspectives by brand owners and converters who, along with other process specialists, will also animate the panel discussion, in which visitors are invited to participate and address many topics of interest. Furthermore, the event will provide ample opportunities during the breaks and following the formal program for networking, informal talks and to share experiences amongst all event participants.
The individual presentations taking place throughout the event will actively involve leading brand owners and converting companies, including Barilla, Henkel, Nestlé, Pepsico and Litoplas. They will share their vision and experience on the capabilities of the extended color gamut process in terms of fulfilling brand owners’ expectations on the worldwide color consistency and quality of their product packaging, as well as on the economics and sustainability of the production process. Their presentations will be complemented by the discussions held by a multidisciplinary panel of other experts from the academic and the industrial world all along the supply chain, who will also join Bobst to share opportunities and challenges of the fixed color palette printing.
“The printing demonstrations that will take place throughout the day are a mix of commercial and mock packaging jobs with challenging multi-lane graphics. These have been chosen for the dual purpose of highlighting process consistency on our new 20SEVEN press on the one hand, and on the other to enable comparison with jobs that are printed conventionally with the 4-c process and spot colors,” says Danilo Vaskovic, sales director at Bobst Bielefeld.
The wide range of e-services available for troubleshooting, for monitoring production and for boosting productivity will take place in Bobst Bielefeld’s brand new Training Center, which has been recently established for educational and R&D purposes.
On both days, the program will run from 10:30 a.m. to at 4:30 p.m. Visitors can register their participation through the Bobst Events page.
