CINCINNATI, OH—ProAmpac, a leading global flexible packaging company, has announced the acquisition of Vitex Packaging Group. A converter and printer of flexible packaging materials based in Suffolk, VA, Vitex specializes in the printing and converting of paper and laminates.
Operating as parent company over the Prolamina, Ampac and Tulsack brands, ProAmpac offers multiple innovative solutions in flexible packaging for the food, pet care and medical markets, along with secure packaging for the transport of cash and valuables, and retail shopping bags.
Vitex Packaging started in the tea packaging business in 1954 and has continued to service both large and small companies in North America and internationally. With several presses and upgraded plate making, slitting and pouching capabilities, Vitex has expanded over the years into the medical, pharmaceutical, health and beauty, and food and beverage markets.
