Student Eligibility...

To be eligible to compete for a scholarship award, the student:
  • Must demonstrate interest in a career in flexography*
  • Must be a high school senior with plans to attend a post-secondary institution (proof is required) or presently enrolled at a post-secondary institution offering a course of study in flexography
  • Must exhibit exemplary performance in his/her studies, particularly in the area of Graphic Communications
  • Must have an overall GPA of at least 3.0 (NO EXCEPTIONS)
*Note: We ask that you demonstrate an interest in flexo as a career. Winning a scholarship does not, however, commit you to follow a particular career path.

Scholarships Available...
The Foundation of FTA awards scholarships to eligible candidates. Each scholarship awarded will be in the amount of $2,000. Occasionally, the Foundation of FTA will grant scholarship awards (as the funds become available) out of its General Scholarship Fund.

Announcement of Winners...
The scholarship recipients will be selected at the next FFTA Annual Forum. Winners will be notified shortly after. Each scholarship award becomes official when the recipient is enrolled in the approved college for the year in which the scholarship has been granted. Alternate winners will receive scholarships only if a primary winner becomes ineligible during the scholarship year.

Scholarship Renewal...
A scholarship is awarded for one year of study. Renewal is possible provided the scholarship recipient maintains an acceptable scholastic average, and continues in an approved program of study. Scholarship renewal is not automatic. It is the student’s responsibility to apply for a scholarship renewal.

To Apply...
Fill out the application completely and return it with a copy of your transcripts to the appropriate official in your graphic arts department. (The transcripts may be student copies.) No application will be accepted for consideration without the transcript and recommendations. The signature and comments of the official are required on the application. The deadline in each school for the collection of applications will be established by the faculty and will be publicized accordingly. All scholarship applications must be submitted to the FFTA by the responding official no later than March 19, 2010
