About Foundation of Flexographic Technical Association (FFTA)
Foundation of Flexographic Technical Association was incorporated in 1974 under the laws of the State of New York as a not-for-profit foundation. Directed by a Board of Trustees, the activities of the Foundation are exclusively charitable, educational and scientific. The Foundation is dedicated to advancing the flexographic printing process by sponsoring conferences, seminars and workshops, collecting and evaluating technical data, and providing scholarships and other aid to further advance the flexo industry.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible to compete for the FFTA Rossini North America Flexographic Scholarship, applicants must:
  • Be a full-time student, sophomore or junior, currently enrolled in a 4-year college or university or a first-year student currently enrolled in a 2-year or Technical college
  • Must be majoring in graphic communications focusing on flexography with a 3.0 GPA or better
  • Must be a flexographic project
  • Complete the Project Charter Document and application and return by February 26, 2010
Scholarship Selection
The scholarship selection process will be competitive. Selection criteria will include, but not be limited to, the applicant’s achievements, performance and professional qualifications, and the merit and value of the proposed research project. The recipients will be announced at the FFTA Forum in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Amount of Scholarship
The FFTA Rossini North America Flexographic Scholarship is a 3-tiered award program totaling $20,000. The first place award is $10,000, second place $6,000, and third place $4,000. In addition to the monetary award recipients will be provided with an all expense paid trip to the FFTA Annual Forum in Las Vegas, NV, May 2-5, 2010. The recipients will be announced at the Forum and will have until September 1st, 2010 to complete their projects. There will be a special presentation at the Annual Banquet by Mr. Felice Rossini to all three recipients.
