Nov. 26, 2012 – Registration to attend Flexographic Technical Association’s (FTA) 2013 Forum & INFO*FLEX Exhibition is now open. The signature event in the flexographic printing and converting trade is returning to San Diego, CA after a 15-year hiatus and expects a record number of printers/converters, consumer product companies (CPCs) and their flexographic colleagues to attend. Industry veterans Bob Mullen, Sun Chemical Corp. and Pepper Stokes, Robbie Fantastic Flexibles, chair the 2013 conference, themed “Right Here, Right Now.” The events will take place April 28-May 1, 2013.
Forum’s program features an unprecedented lineup of acknowledged business leaders and industry pace setters throughout the seven-session agenda, which includes:
Forum’s sister event, the INFO*FLEX Exhibition (April 29-30) is the place where printers/converters, CPCs and their business partners from across North America and the globe come to source suppliers, see and purchase new technology, and network with colleagues. Attendees can look forward to meeting more than 200 suppliers and manufacturers on the show floor, which, with more than five months until show time, is nearly 90 percent occupied. Additionally, a Solutions Theater, an Educational Pavilion, plus a social networking reception occupy San Diego Convention Center’s sprawling trade show floor. Those interested in exhibiting can contact Jay Kaible, director of membership and business development at 631-737-6020 x20.
Forum will also celebrate FTA’s 55th anniversary and play host to the 2013 Awards Banquet on Sunday, April 28 where the prestigious Excellence in Flexography award winners will be announced, as will the winners of FTA’s sought-after Hall of Fame award, Presidents Award, Environmental Excellence Award and various scholarship awards.
The Marriott Marquis & Marina--Forum Headquarters--recently completed a $200 million renovation, including 1,360 remodeled rooms and suites with sweeping bay views of the hotel’s private marina on San Diego Bay. Steps away is the convention center, where the INFO*FLEX Exhibition will take place. Both venues are minutes from the world-famous San Diego Zoo and close to the vibrant Gaslamp Quarter entertainment district and Seaport Village. Both are known for world-class dining and nightlife.
Attendees will save $200 by registering for Full Forum before the early bird deadline of Feb. 22, 2013. Registrations for CPC FTA members are complimentary, and printers/converters will enjoy specially discounted rates plus a “Buy 2, Get the 3rd Free” offer. INFO*FLEX-Only passes are also complimentary for CPC FTA Members, and start from $95 for all others.
