FTA Issues Call for Entries for 2013 Excellence in Flexography Awards

October 24, 2012 – Flexographic Technical Association (FTA) is now accepting entries for its 2013 Excellence in Flexography Awards competition, the industry’s most prestigious and long-standing awards program. The deadline to submit entries is Friday, Jan. 11, 2013. Projections, coupled with past experience, point to more than 600 printed pieces of work being entered.

Steve Mullins, FTA Awards Committee Chair commented, "The interest in recognition has travelled beyond the printer. I have had a number of consumer product companies ask me 'How can we make our designs award winners?"

“FTA’s Excellence in Flexography Awards competition is a tough but fair challenge that, at the least, provides a valuable learning experience,” Mullins explained. “For many, it affords a chance to show off the hard work that goes in to their day-to-day efforts."

Flexographers from around the world, regardless of membership status, are invited to test their level of quality, achievement and technical prowess in the field of flexographic printing. Entries are broken down into 11 classifications: wide web, mid web, narrow web, paperboard, napkins, combined corrugated, preprinted linerboard, envelope, publications/newspaper, self-promotion and student.

Winning companies become part of an elite group of achievers, adept at producing quality, consistent, repeatable print results; who at the same time, earn industry-wide recognition that provides tremendous marketing opportunities, including:
