St. Louis, MO - Rotoflex, a business unit of Mark Andy, Inc. and a leading inspection rewind and finishing equipment brand, has formed a strategic alliance with Scantech, a Canadian-based electrical design and engineering company that produces a variety of highly efficient horizontal inspection rewind equipment. Scantech, with over 30 years of expertise brings rich history to Rotoflex, including some of the legendary engineering for the Arpeco® Tracker. This alliance will strengthen the Rotoflex product line, enabling the business unit to market, sell and support Scantech equipment designs exclusively under the Rotoflex brand name. This extension of the Rotoflex product offering will broaden the scope of inspection rewind applications and expand them world wide.
The alliance also brings along with it the solid financial foundation of the global leader, Mark Andy, Inc. This operating support and structure will allow for the continued production and manufacture of machines in the Toronto, Ontario-based facility. In addition, the key engineering and production expertise of Scantech, combined with leading capabilities of the Rotoflex global service and support organization, will have an immediate positive impact on the customers using inspection rewind equipment.
The new Rotoflex team has already started working on extending the equipment line and plans to release two new rewinders later this year at Labelexpo Europe.
Kevin Gourlay, Rotoflex Business Director, stated, “We are excited about this alliance. Rotoflex can now bring the best of both worlds to our customers when it comes to high-end inspection rewind equipment. Partnering with Scantech allows us to extend our engineering capabilities and high quality equipment to all our customers world wide. We look forward to a long and profitable working relationship.”
