Print challenges and defects are something we have just grown to accept in flexo. However, when they do raise their ugly head typically we know exactly how to address them to get things back to good. So why as industry professionals do we continue to struggle on a select few defects day after day and year after year without any real comfort in knowing exactly how to address or prevent them. Narrow web printers pull their hair out as they experience bounce, chatter and gearmarks even when they have a gearless press. And wide web printers scratch their head wondering why microdots fall long or short across the cylinder color to color. If you face these challenges, then this presentation is for you.

Key learning outcomes from this webinar

  • Understand the cause of microdot inconsistencies and know how to control the outcome.
  • Understand and identify the difference between bounce, gearmarks, and chatter.
  • Learn to control the defect by elimination or absorbing.
  • Learn why absorbing the defect is NOT a Band Aid.
